The Fortinet 200B combines a very fast firewall (5 Gbps), 4 accelerated GbE ports and a FSM slot.
The FSM slot can be loaded with FSM module containing a 64 GB SSD drive. Once a FSM is put into a FG200B, the Fortigate has wan optimization functionality. In typical WAN-OPT architectures, the FG200B can be the central point with FG60C in the branch offices. Or in larger implementations the FG200B is the branch office firewall with a FG1240B in head quarters. |
