Rackmount.IT was started initially as FortiRack. And FortiRack in it's turn was founded out of frustration. The reason for it being the fact that there was no rackmount kit available for the Fortigate 100A. Fortinet consildered a FG-100A a desktop model.

The trend in small and medium businesses is they also move to 19 inch racks. Also the fact that the "small" Fortinet models perform very good contributed to this frustation. So in 2007 the first batch was made for the Fortigate 60, 50B and 100A and Fortianalyzer 100B.

Today Rackmount.IT is committed to produce a rackmount kit for every significant network / security appliance. Models are available for SonicWall, Cisco, WatchGuard and Fortinet.
